iPhone Duo release date

The iPhone Duo was announced on 9 September 2026, opens for pre-order on 16 October 2026 and goes on sale on 23 October 2026 in more than 70 countries, with a second group of 28 countries following on 30 October 2026.[1] This page sets out the sequence of reports, announcements and dates in order.

  • 14 September 2026iOS 27 is released for existing iPhones, with Apple Intelligence updates and the Siri AI beta in English.[1]
  • October 2026Siri AI adds French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.[1]
  • 16 October 2026Pre-orders open at 5 a.m. Pacific Time; the iPhone Duo Case and Folio become orderable.[1]
  • 23 October 2026First-wave availability in more than 70 countries and regions.[1]

First-wave countries

Apple's first wave on 23 October 2026 includes Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam, among more than 70 countries and regions.[1] UNKNOWN Apple has not published the list of the 28 second-wave countries.[1]

Ships with

The device ships with iOS 27.1.[1] Siri AI is not initially available in the European Union.[1]

What is not yet known

UNKNOWN Apple has not stated the date of the Apple Pencil update beyond "later this year", nor the timing of reviews, nor whether supply will be constrained at launch.[1] This page will be updated on 16 October and 23 October 2026.
